INTERACTIVE EDUCATIONAL and CREATIVE WORKSHOPS DESIGNED FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
“Education, Experimentation, Creation and Development of the Visual and Spatial Sense”
Workshops are being held for 2 different age groups: 7-11 yr olds and 12-15 yr olds.
Workshop are being lead by Virag and Emmanuel and assisted by a technician/ teaching assistant. Instructions will be given in English with plenty of visual demonstration and creative work.
FURTHER COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ARTISTS, TUTORS, TEACHERS IS POSSIBLE. Demonstration materials will be provided by the Moulin aux Chimeres. Craft materials to be provided both by the Moulin aux Chimeres and host.

What is a kaleidoscope and how does it work?
Experimenting with light, shadow, reflection
Creative workshop: MY KALEIDOSCOPIC CREATURE
participants create props to do a few minutes demonstration to their peers in a 1.5 meters long kaleidoscope. Demonstrations will be recorded and re-played for students to conclude workshop. Pictures will be taken on demand.

Learning about reflection, distortion, perspective and spheres
KALEIDOSCOPIC – ARTIFICIAL OR NATURAL?
Kaleidoscopic forms (plants, animals, organisms) found in nature
Creative workshop: participants experiment with light, shadow, objects (sound optional)and do a 2 min demonstration using a 1.5 m long kaleidoscope. Experiments will be photographed on demand and sent to participants by email
Workshop concludes with a short backstage tour
FOR VERY YOUNG CHILDREN
We recommend KaleidoAct for children as young as 4.
There is no sceduled workshop for children under 6, however after matiné KaleidoAct we encourage our young spectators to express their experience through drawing. An online gallery will be set up to display their work. Drawing materials will be provided by the Moulin aux Chimeres.
